Veerey Ki Wedding 2 is a sequel to the 2018 romantic comedy film Veerey Ki Wedding, which starred Pulkit Samrat, Kriti Kharbanda and Jimmy Sheirgill in the lead roles. The film was directed by Ashu Trikha and produced by Make My Day Entertainments. The film was released on 2 March 2018 and received mostly negative reviews from critics and audiences alike. The sequel, Veerey Ki Wedding 2, follows the same plot as the first film, with some minor changes. Veer (Pulkit Samrat) and Geet (Kriti Kharbanda) are still in love and want to get married, but face opposition from Geet's father Gopi (Satish Kaushik), who is a peace-loving man and dislikes Veer's violent nature. Veer's elder cousin brother Balli (Jimmy Sheirgill) also tries to sabotage their relationship by threatening Geet's family and creating misunderstandings between them. The film was supposed to release on 14 February 2023, coinciding with Valentine's Day, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film was finally released on 10 September 2023 on Disney+ Hotstar, a streaming platform owned by Disney India. The film received even worse reviews than the first one, with critics calling it a "mindless", "boring" and "unfunny" comedy that recycled the same jokes and scenes from the original.
